Man shot in Northeast DC

MPD found an adult male shot in the 3500 block of Ames St. NE Saturday.

WASHINGTON D.C., DC — The Metropolitan Police Department found an adult male shot in Northeast DC Saturday. 

Officers initially responded to the 3500 block of Ames St. NE around 4:55 p.m. and found a man that was shot. The man was conscious and breathing when taken to the hospital. 

According to MPD, there is no suspect information available at the moment.

The teenage victim was apparently followed inside of the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Station and then shot before the suspect fled the scene.
