Homicide investigation underway near Tantallon Park in Fort Washington

A 19-year-old D.C. man has been identified as the victim.

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — An investigation is underway in Prince George's County after a 19-year-old man was found shot to death early Wednesday morning near Tantallon Park. He has since been identified as David Frye of D.C.

At 6:40 a.m., Frye's body was located in the area. Investigators say he found shot and dead. So far, there is no word on how the man was shot or came to be in the area.

An investigation into his death is active and ongoing.

Police have classified the man's death as a homicide.
