Man killed in DC, police investigating

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead.

WASHINGTON — D.C. police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead Tuesday night. 

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, at 5:15 p.m. for reports of shots fired. When they arrived they found a man unconscious and not breathing. 

The Homicide Unit arrived at the scene and pronounced the man dead at the scene. 

On Wednesday, police identified the man killed as 48-year-old Rufus Brown, of no fixed address.

Police have not released any information on motive or suspect lookouts.
