WASHINGTON — A Maryland man is facing charges for stabbing a woman to death inside a building in D.C.'s Ivy City neighborhood over two years ago.
On Thursday, investigators arrested and charged 33-year-old Domonic Tabron of Capitol Heights with second-degree murder while armed for his alleged role in the stabbing death of 23-year-old Brittany Palmer.
On July 9, 2022, just before 3 a.m., officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a stabbing. Once there, officers found a woman who had been stabbed. She was pronounced dead at the hospital from her injuries and was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further evaluation. Investigators were able to determine the stabbing took place on New York Avenue in Northeast, D.C.
She was later identified as Palmer.
Two years later, police identified and arrested a suspect in connection her death.
Investigators have not determined a motive.
The investigation into the deadly stabbing remains active and ongoing.
