FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A man is facing charges after police say he stabbed his wife to death in the Fair Oaks part of Fairfax County Monday evening.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers were called to a home in the 3900 block of Highland Oaks Drive shortly after 6:15 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found 77-year-old Karen Dorbayan suffering from wounds to her upper body. Detectives say her husband, 77-year-old Behruze Dorbayan, stabbed her.
Karen Dorbayan was taken to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Behruze Dorbayan was taken into custody and transported to the adult detention center where he faces a charge of second-degree murder.
Police have not released any information regarding the circumstances leading up to the deadly stabbing.
