Juvenile shot in NW DC

Police are searching for two suspects last seen driving away in a black Toyota sedan.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting in Northwest D.C. that sent a boy to the hospital on Tuesday. Investigators are asking the public to be on the lookout for two people last seen in a black Toyota sedan, who are wanted in connection to the shooting.

At 1:52 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 5000 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW for a report of a shooting. At the scene, officers found a juvenile male who had been shot. He was found conscious and breathing when he was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His age remains unknown.

Police are now searching for two men in connection to the shooting. Investigators say the men were last seen wearing all black clothing, both wearing Jordans. They were last seen driving towards 2nd Street in a black Toyota sedan.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
