Fatal stabbing in Annandale leaves 17-year-old dead

A juvenile suspect, who was also stabbed, was taken into custody Saturday night.

ANNANDALE, Va. — A 17-year-old was killed after a fatal stabbing incident in Annandale on Saturday night, Fairfax County Police say.

Police were called to the scene in the 4200 block of Wadsworth Court at around 11:30 p.m. Police found the teen in a grassy area with stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but passed away from his injuries.

A 14-year-old boy was also found in a nearby apartment with injuries and was taken to the hospital as well. As of Sunday afternoon, police said he was still hospitalized.

An unidentified 18-year-old is also being treated for injuries related to the stabbing. Police have not said what they believe that person's connection to the incident to be.

Fairfax Police say they believe the 14-year-old to be a suspect in the 17-year-old boy's stabbing.

Police said that the two teens involved knew each other, but police do not believe it is not a domestic situation.

No motive or further information has been released. Police ask anyone who has information about the stabbing to call the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Solvers (703-246-4676) or online
