2 people shot in NE DC

Detectives have not identified any suspects or persons of interest in this case.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating a shooting in Northeast D.C. that killed a man and left another one injured Monday night.

At 10:16 p.m., a call came into the Metropolitan Police Department regarding a shooting in the 300 block of Tennessee Avenue Northeast. 

Officers responded to the area to find two men who had been shot. One man was found conscious and breathing and the other man was not. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of injuries not considered to be life-threatening. 

The investigation into this shooting is active and ongoing. Police have not identified either man so far.

Detectives have not identified any suspects or persons of interest in this case. There is no additional information at this moment as to what led up to the shooting or what caused it.
