Detectives arrest 17-year-old in connection to deadly Triangle shooting

Police say the shooting stemmed from an ongoing argument between the boy and victims.

TRIANGLE, Va. — A 17-year-old boy faces charges in connection to a shooting in Triangle that left one person dead and three others injured Monday night.

The boy was arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of murder, three counts of aggravated malicious wounding, one count of attempted aggravated malicious wounding, and one count of using a gun during a felony.

Police say the 17-year-old boy shot at a group of five people, including the four victims and a man who was not hurt.

Investigators say the boy knew who he was shooting at and the shooting stemmed from an ongoing argument.

Detectives are still searching for anyone else who was involved in the shooting that left a 15-year-old boy dead and a 16-year-old boy, 18-year-old man, and 20-year-old man injured.
