DC teacher's car stolen from school parking lot during school day

In a police report, the teacher was notified by another school employee that someone was driving her car.

WASHINGTON — A H.D. Woodson High School teacher's car was reportedly stolen from the school parking lot during the school day.

According to a police report, the teacher was notified by another school employee that someone was driving her car. The teacher, who has not been named, says she was teaching her third-period class when she placed her purse down and went to the back of the class to continue teaching.

During this time, the teacher told police she believes someone had taken her car keys out of her purse. A witness told police that while she was sitting in her car, she saw the suspect walk through the parking lot before getting inside a white Porsche truck and leaving the school.

It is unclear if the suspect is a student of the school.
