Preschoolers donate thousands of diapers to those who need them | Get Uplifted

The 11 participating schools taught young students about giving back to their communities.

WASHINGTON — A group of young students making an impact in our community are getting us uplifted and inspired.

The preschoolers from the Primrose Schools across our area have made a massive donation in honor of National Diaper Needs Awareness Week.

According to the National Diaper Bank Network, one in two American families struggle to provide enough diapers to keep a baby or toddler clean and dry.

This can lead to health risks, including painful rashes and urinary tract infections.

Well, the preschoolers from the 11 participating Primrose Schools across the DMV donated just under 15,000 diapers to the Greater D.C. Diaper Bank, with the mindset that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.

The Primrose Schools teach their students the value of giving back from an early age, and it's part of their curriculum to have students get involved with their communities by giving back.

National Diaper Week, observed in late September, centers around the urgent need for diapers in our country while working to find solutions to help families faced with diaper insecurity. It's something many of us might take for granted but the need is great and these kids are doing something about it.
