Pediatric mobile health clinic helps families across DC | Get Uplifted

The clinic provides families with a wide range of care — from vaccinations to mental health screenings for the entire family.

WASHINGTON — The people behind the Kids Mobile Medical Clinic are certainly making an impact and getting us uplifted.

It's a full-service pediatric clinic on wheels, operated by Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. When families walk in, they can receive a wide range of care — from vaccinations to mental health screenings for the entire family.

And families never see a bill.

“Our goal is that when families come out to the Kids Mobile Medical Clinic, they receive the full support and care of our entire team, and so their kids can be healthy and thrive here in D.C.,” said Dr. Janine Rethy of Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.

On Monday, Medstar Health celebrated a donation of $1.1 million from Monumental Sports and Entertainment, which owns the Wizards, Mystics and Capitals. That money will help keep the bus on the road and help families across the District.
