RIVERDALE, Md. — All outdoor activities have been canceled in Prince George's County due to excessive heat.
Officials say this includes all athletic fields, and the Wonderful World of Watkins Amusement Complex, which will be closed at 2 p.m.
Indoor facilities remain open, and indoor programs will continue as scheduled. Guests are encouraged to postpone visits to outdoor sites and instead take advantage of the many indoor activities and amenities available. All cooling centers and indoor and outdoor pools will remain open and operate under regular scheduled hours.
