Pedestrian hurt in tractor-trailer crash over I-95 in Prince George's County

Authorities say to seek an alternative route.

LAUREL, Md. — A pedestrian was injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer early Tuesday morning in Maryland just before 3 a.m., Prince George's County Police said.

All eastbound lanes are closed as of 6 a.m. on Sandy Spring Road above I-95 in Prince George's County after the incident. 

Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Drivers in the area are encouraged to use alternate routes as the investigation continues. Expect delays in the area throughout the morning commute.

Sandy Spring Road has three lanes and both a left and right shoulder running over I-95 in Laurel.

The investigation is active and ongoing, according to police.
