Multiple ramps in northern Virginia closed overnight for construction this week

These ramps are scheduled to be closed from about 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Aug. 12 and 17.
Please remember to keep an emergency kit in your car and follow updates from authorities regarding road closures. 

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Heads up, drivers. Multiple ramps will be closed overnight in northern Virginia this week. 

The following ramps are scheduled to be closed between Aug. 12 and 17 from about 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for finishing construction work as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. Drivers are advised to follow the signed detours.

  • Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North

  • Ramp from Route 234 Business North to the 66 Express Lanes East

  • Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 East

  • Ramps from I-66 East to Route 50 East and West

  • Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North

  • Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 South

  • Ramp from Route 123 North to I-66 West

  • Ramp from I-66 East to Nutley Street North

  • Ramp from I-66 West to Nutley Street South

  • Ramp from Nutley Street North to I-66 West

  • Ramp from Nutley Street South to I-66 East

  • Ramp from the 66 Express Lanes East to I-495 South
