Lanes reopen after crash involving tractor-trailer on SB I-95 in Fredericksburg

Drivers are being warned of delays on Interstate 95 in Fredericksburg after a tractor-trailer crashed Tuesday morning, closing all local lanes of travel. 

Just after 10 a.m., Virginia State Police responded to a crash involving the tractor-trailer at the 130-mile marker in Fredericksburg. 

Police say a driver was heading south on the I-95 entrance ramp when it lost control and overturned. 

The driver, and only occupant, was not injured as a result of the crash.

Investigators say the tractor-trailer was hauling scrap mental.

VDOT is helping with the roadway closure and detour.

There is no word on when the local lanes will reopen to drivers.

Police remind everyone in the area to be extra cautious while passing the site of the wreck.
