WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police in Prince William County are investigating a crash that led to an ambulance on its side in a Woodbridge intersection Thursday night. No patients were in the ambulance when the crash happened.
According to a Prince William County Police Department spokesperson, the crash happened around 9:41 p.m. in the intersection of Telegraph Road and Opitz Boulevard, near Potomac Mills. Responding officers found the ambulance tipped over, but said all drivers involved in the crash stayed on the scene.
No patients were inside the ambulance at the time of the crash, but two people from the ambulance were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The intersection was closed for the crash investigation Thursday night, but has since reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
