LEESBURG, Va. — The Broad Run Spartans travel from Ashburn to Leesburg, Virginia, this Friday to take on the Loudoun County Captians for WUSA9's Game of the Week.
Both high school teams sat at 7-1 overall on the season in this regional matchup before Friday's game won by Broad Run 32-3. It will help decide playoff seedings for these two northern Virginia teams.
The two schools sit a 15-minutes drive from one another, so lots of fans packed the stands from both teams for a rainy day and very wet game.
Broad Run is considered a Top 10 team in Virginia by MaxPreps. Its only loss so far on the season is to Stone Ridge, which is the top-ranked team in Virginia, according to the website.
Loudoun County has now lost its last three matchups against Broad Run High School.
