ASHBURN, Va. — Thursday marked day two of Washington Commanders training camp and WUSA9 was there as the players practiced on the field.
I asked Commanders head coach Dan Quinn for insight into what the team's training camp daily schedule looks like and he told me after early morning workouts and meetings, they head out onto the field for the 9 a.m. practice.
After practice, some players go and work out and train before more meetings where they study film of what they just did on the field. After reviewing the tapes, the team then goes back to the field and walks through what the next day's practice will look like. Even if a practice appears "short," don't mistake that for the team taking it easy.
The team also worked the two-minute drill, as they will do most days.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels looked sharp during the red zone portion of practice, which he kept up throughout practice, fitting passes in places I couldn't even see.
Speaking of Daniels, he is scheduled to jump in front of the podium on Friday, which will be the first time we've heard from him in more than a month. It will all be covered on WUSA9.
