Know before you go: Commanders training camp fan days start Sunday

All public access tickets are sold out at this point, but if you got tickets, here's what you need to know before you head out to the field.

ASHBURN, Va. — Commanders training camp officially got underway Wednesday, but the first day that fans will be allowed to watch the team is Sunday. 

The bad news is, if you haven't already scored tickets, you are out of luck, as the public access days are mostly sold out, save for two season ticket holder events. The good news is, WUSA9 will be covering every minute of the camp from start to finish, so you can get extensive coverage and exclusive content on air and online. 

If you are one of the lucky fans who has a ticket, here are some things to know before you pack up and go. 

WHERE

  • OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park

WHEN

  • For all practices, gates open at 8 a.m. and parking lots at 7:30 a.m.

PARKING

  • Gray Lot on-site 
  • Parking pass required
  • Buses from Dulles Town Center are not available this year
  • Parking is limited so plan to carpool if possible 

PHOTO/VIDEO RULES

  • No photos or videos can be taken during team portions of training camp (7-on-7, 11-on-11, special teams, and installs)
  • Staff will let you know what can be recorded 
  • No video cameras allowed

BAG POLICY

  • NFL's clear bag policy not in effect
  • All bags will be searched by security

WEATHER

  • Practices held rain or shine except during severe weather
  • If weather forces any schedule changes, those with tickets will be alerted as soon as possible
