Missing 71-year-old New Carrolton man, police concerned for welfare

ROCKVILLE, Md. — A Montgomery County man is missing after getting into a cab at the Shady Grove Metro, Saturday around 5 p.m.

Edward Davis Jr. was visiting family in Montgomery Village at the time, and was en route to Washington D.C., a police report said.

Police said he might have traveled through Montgomery County by Metro or a cab.

Davis is described by police as a black male. He's 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. Police said he has brown eyes, balding with white hair on the side. 

David was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and black boots.

Police said they'e concerned for Davis' physical and emotional welfare.

Montgomery County Police are asking anyone with the whereabouts of Davis to call their non-emergency number at (301) 279-8000.
