LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — In a series of disturbing incidents, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Ryan D. Cunningham of Ashburn following separate assaults on three women Monday.
The first assault took place at 1 p.m. when a woman was walking on the trail near the 23000 block of Virginia Rose Place. The victim told police she was inappropriately touched by a man walking by.
An hour and a half later, at 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 42000 block of Beaver Crossing Square for a similar report. The woman told deputies she was walking in the area when Cunningham began to follow her. Then he touched her inappropriately before walking away.
The third victim called law enforcement an hour later at 3:30 p.m. in the 23400 block of Madison Heights Terrace. She told police she was followed and touched by a man while walking in the area.
Deputies were able to identify Cunningham and connect him to all three cases.
Loudoun County police arrested Cunningham and charged him with sexual battery. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with additional information or potential witnesses to come forward.
