DUMFRIES, Va. — A man wanted in connection to a deadly shooting outside a Dumfries bar is now in custody.
Jonathan Montile Middleton, 37, turned himself over to police on Tuesday for his alleged involvement in the shooting outside Club Temp on Possum Point Road. He is charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
On Saturday, March 23, officers responded to the bar shortly after 2 a.m. for a reported shooting. At the scene, officers found a man who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital for help but died a short time later. The victim has since been identified as Carvell Williams, 38, of Warrenton, Virginia.
Investigators say Williams and Middleton knew each other before the shooting and may have been involved in a fight in the parking lot when Williams was killed.
Anyone with more information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Prince William County police at 703-792-6500 or submit a tip online at pwcva.gov/policetip.
