DUMFRIES, Va. — Police are asking for the public's help finding a man they believe killed another man outside a Dumfries bar over the weekend.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, the shooting happened outside Club Tempo on Possum Point Road on Saturday.
Officers were called to the bar shortly after 2 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital for help but died a short time later. The victim has since been identified as 38-year-old Carvell Williams, of Warrenton, Virginia.
Detectives are now searching for 37-year-old Jonathan Montile Middleton in connection to the deadly shooting.
Investigators say Williams and Middleton knew each other before the shooting and may have been involved in a fight in the parking lot when Williams was killed.
Middleton has not been apprehended. He is wanted on charges of murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
