WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Two people were found dead in a Woodbridge residence just past 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

Officers said they responded to the scene in the 11500 block of Bertram Street. They soon found a 36-year old man, identified Moneer Nasafi and a 34-year-old woman, identified as Mariam Yusefi, both shot dead.

Police confirmed that the two did know one another. The incident so far has appeared to be isolated to the residence, police said and that there is no threat to the community. They’ve also recovered a firearm on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier this month in a separate incident, two men were shot dead in a violent Woodbridge home invasion.

According to a press release from Prince William Police, the shooting happened after the two men forced their way into the home and exchanged gunfire with a man who lived inside the house.

When officers arrived they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside the home. First responders tried to help the men but both died.

The department's Homicide Unit arrested 20-year-old Julian Khari Graham of Woodbridge in connection to the homicides that happened in the 14100 block of Renegade Court on Nov. 5.
