LEESBURG, Va. — More than 3,000 people are expected to show up at a Celebration of Life for Firefighter Trevor Brown on Monday in Virginia.
Brown, 45, with the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company, died at the scene of a house explosion back in February. He became affiliated with the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System in 2016. He leaves behind a wife and three children.
The ceremony honoring his life will be held at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia starting at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Officials say they are anticipating this to be a very large event, with fire and rescue personnel from all across the region attending.
Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has ordered that the United States and Commonwealth of Virginia flags to be flown at half-staff on all state and local buildings and grounds in the Commonwealth on Monday in memory of Brown.
