DC missing 12-year-old girl has been found

WASHINGTON — Update: the missing 12-year-old girl has been found.

D.C. Police are asking for help looking for a missing 12-year-old girl.

On Tuesday morning, police issued a critical missing alert for a 12-year-old girl. She went missing from the 4800 block of Connecticut Avenue Northwest but was last seen on the 2900 block of Knox Place Southeast, near Young's Memorial Church at 4 a.m. Tuesday. 

She is described as 4-foot-11, weighing 125 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray pants and a blue backpack.
