PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Police are investigating four shootings that happened hours apart in Prince George's County Friday, leaving two people dead and five others wounded.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, four shootings were reported throughout the day.
The first shooting was reported around 8 a.m. in the 400 block of Chillum Road. When officers arrived, they found a person who had been shot outside an apartment complex. That victim died at the scene. He was later identified by police as William Crocket, a 27-year-old man from D.C.
Several hours later, around 2:30 p.m., officers were called to the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a teenager and a woman had been wounded. Both were taken to an area hospital for help and are expected to survive.
Less than two hours later, reports came to police regarding another shooting at Old Fort Hills Park in Fort Washington. When officers arrived, they found one person dead at the park and a second person wounded. That second victim was taken to an area hospital for help and there is no word on their condition at this time.
Then just before 9:15 p.m., officers were called to a third double shooting. Two women were taken to an area hospital for help after they were shot in the 5200 block of Marlboro Pike. Both are expected to survive.
No suspect information has been released for any of the shootings at this time. Police have not connected the shootings.
