CLINTON, Md. — A 15-year-old boy died in a car crash in Clinton, Maryland on Friday.

He has been identified as Shaun Shelton of Accokeek.

Officers arrived at the intersection of Piscataway Road and King Gallahan Court just after 12:30 p.m. for reports of a two-car collision.

A preliminary investigation by the Prince George's County Police Department revealed Shelton was driving a Kia Sedona minivan in the wrong direction in the southbound lane of Piscataway Road when he collided head-on with the pickup truck. The minivan had been reported stolen earlier in the day in Charles County.

One of the cars was occupied by Shelton and another teenager, who was taken to the hospital, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The driver of the second car was an adult man, who was also taken to the hospital. Reports say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
