MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Two Marylanders are believed to be involved in several commercial armed robberies, spanning at least six states from October through December. The Gaithersburg residents were arrested in D.C. on Dec. 2 in a stolen Honda with Florida tags.
Rickley Senning, 32, was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, first-degree assault and felony use of a firearm. He was arrested alongside 35-year-old Jesann Willis, who had outstanding warrants in Virginia and Florida.
The pair's alleged crime spree started on Oct 12, when a 7-11 in Derwood, Maryland was robbed. Later that same day, there was a robbery at an Essex Bank in the 1100 block of Nelson Street in Rockville. During both of these robberies, the suspect had a revolver, according to police.
Then on Oct. 30, police attempted to pull Senning over for a traffic stop, during which he assaulted a Rockville City Police officer. He had a gun on him at the time of his arrest, and as a convicted felon, was charged with felony possession of a handgun.
He was released from custody the next day on a $550 bond, according to Montgomery County Police.
While out on bond, Senning is alleged to have robbed a PNC Bank on River Road in Potomac. The suspect in that robbery fled the scene in a stolen white Honda CRV with Florida tags, taken from a home in Flagler Beach, Florida.
Police were able to connect Senning to both the Rockville and Derwood robberies, and on Nov. 8, Montgomery County Police issued an arrest warrant for Senning. He was arrested with Willis in D.C. in a white Honda CRV with Florida tags. MCPD said Senning had a gun on him during his arrest.
The Flagler Beach Police Department helped Montgomery Police connect the couple to the stolen Honda, according to a press release from MCPD.
