Prince George's County stabbing leaves 70-year-old man dead

Police say they do not believe the stabbing was a random act.

BELTSVILLE, Md. — A man was stabbed and killed in Beltsville Sunday night, sparking an investigation into what could of led up to the deadly situation.

Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department responded to Queen Anne Avenue, off of Baltimore Avenue, around 9 p.m. after a report of a cutting. Upon arrival, they found a man inside of a home suffering from stab wounds.

The man was pronounced dead at the location. Police have identified the man as 70-year-old Lucas Pineda Cardona of Beltsville.

Police say they do not believe the stabbing was a random act.
