1 boy dead, man injured in Suitland shooting

Detectives are on the scene working to piece together the events that took place leading up to the shooting. Info regarding a suspect or motive is still unknown.

SUITLAND, Md. — Prince George’s County Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Suitland. 

Officers were called to the 4700 block of Towne Park Road at 6:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they arrived they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Officials pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. He has been only been identified as boy under the age of 18.

The second victim was taken to a local hospital where officials say he is being treated. He is expected to be ok. 

Detectives are on the scene working to piece together the events that took place leading up to the shooting. Information regarding a suspect or motive is still unknown at this time.
