Head-on crash involving propane truck shuts down MD 28 in Frederick County

A crash involving a propane truck shut down MD 28 in Frederick County on Monday morning.

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. — A head-on crash between a propane truck and an F-150 pick-up truck has shut down MD 28 in Frederick County on Monday morning, Frederick County fire officials said.

As of 10:30 a.m., lanes on MD 28 are now open following the collision.

The crash was reported around 8:05 a.m. along Route 28 at the Monocacy River near the Frederick County line.

One person was taken to Shady Grove Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, a fire official said.

No leaks have been reported as a result of the crash.
