WASHINGTON — Crews are busy making emergency repairs in Northwest, D.C. after a water main break on Tuesday.
According to DC Water, there is a leak on a 12" water main, and their crews are making repairs. There is no word yet on how many customers are impacted.
DDOT officials say the intersection of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW is closed due to the water main break. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
This is the latest water main break in a series of recent breaks.
Almost like a cycle, with winter and cold temps comes an increase in water main breaks and leaks.
