Teens connected to 2 armed robberies, arrested within 24-hours

Victims of both robberies mentioned three suspects, however only two were arrested. Police have not released any information regarding the third suspect.

WASHINGTON — Two D.C. teens will be spending Thanksgiving behind bars this year for their alleged involvement in two armed robberies.

At 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers received a call from people who had been robbed in the 1200 block of 4th Street in Northeast. At the scene of the robbery, the victims told police that the robbers approached them, pulled out handguns, and demanded their property. Before the victims could react, the robbers were gone with their stuff. 

Then ten minutes later, the same robbers approached a man along 7th Street. One of the suspect’s pulled out a handgun, while the others took the victim’s property. The three suspects then fled the scene. 

D.C. Police arrested two of the three suspects connected to the robberies, one 18-year-old identified as Donnell Godfrey, and a 17-year-old. Both were charged with carrying a pistol outside a home or business, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of unregistered ammunition. 

Victims of both robberies mentioned three suspects, however only two were arrested. Police have not released any information regarding the third suspect.
