WASHINGTON — A teenager is facing charges after police say he shot an 18-year-old to death in Northeast D.C. in January.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 4600 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast just before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 22.
When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Tyreek Moore suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the crime scene. A second wounded person was also found by police. They were taken to an area hospital for help with non-life-threatening injuries.
More than two months later, police announced the arrest of 17-year-old Tyree Bratcher, of Southeast, D.C. He has been charged with second-degree murder while armed for Moore's death.
