Suspect wanted for armed robbery of SE convenience store caught on surveillance camera

The suspect can be seen on video jumping over the sales counter and pulling out a gun.

WASHINGTON — Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect and their car in connection to an armed robbery in Southeast, D.C. 

On Monday morning, at 7:08 a.m., the suspect walked into a convenience store in the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. The suspect then jumped over the sales counter and took out a gun. This is when the suspect took money from a cash register, took another cash register, and then fled the scene in a car.

The suspect and their car, described as a white Acura MDX with Virginia temporary tag 68522F, were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the video below:

Anyone who can identify this suspect or this vehicle or has any information about this robbery should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's text tip line at 50411. 

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
