WASHINGTON — 12 residents have been displaced in a rowhouse fire in D.C.
On Saturday, D.C. Fire and EMS were dispatched to the 500 block of 24th Street, Northeast. When they arrived they saw flames coming from the first floor of a two-story rowhome.
First responders were able to extinguish the flames without it extending to other parts of the home or neighboring homes.
Officials say no sustained any injuries, but 12 people, two cats and a dog have all been displaced as a result of the fire.
It is unclear what started the fire.
