WASHINGTON — Police have found a missing 5-month-old boy and taken the child's father into custody Wednesday evening.

Earlier Wednesday, police were called to the 5900 block of 14th Street, Northwest for reports of a missing infant. Police suspected the infant was taken by his dad, Ramon Leonard.

Parts of 16th Street between Rock Creek Park and Military Road, Northwest were closed as police searched the wooded area in the park. Officials say the child and Leonard were last seen in the 6000 block of 16th Street just after noon.
