Murder suspect seen on bus, DC Police release video

When officers arrived, they found a wounded man. He died at the scene and has since been identified as 32-year-old Jeremy Dewayne Johnson.

WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help finding a murder suspect connected to a deadly shooting earlier this month.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 900 block of Shepherd Street, Northwest, shortly before 2:45 a.m. on Feb. 12. 

When officers arrived, they found a wounded man. He died at the scene and has since been identified as 32-year-old Jeremy Dewayne Johnson. 

The suspect connected to the shooting was captured by surveillance cameras. Police released video of the suspect Thursday in hopes that someone will recognize him. 

Anyone with information may contact detectives at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s text tip line by sending a text message to 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
