Food truck fire along Constitution Avenue leaves 2 people critically injured

According to officials, two men were critically injured in the fire.

WASHINGTON — Two people are being treated for burns following a fire on the National Mall involving a food truck. 

Crews were called to 14th & 15th Street along Constitution Avenue  -- right outside the National Museum of African American History and Culture for reports of a fire Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived, they found a food truck on fire. Multiple crews worked to extinguish the flames. 

According to officials, two men were critically injured in the fire. They were taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Their identities and current conditions are unknown at this time. 

Members with D.C. Fire and EMS are working to determine what caused this fire. Videos shared with WUSA9 show the truck was completely scorched. There's no word yet on how much the damages will end up being.
