FBI releases images of people wanted for carjacking agent in DC

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information.

WASHINGTON — The FBI is asking for the public's help to find the people they believe carjacked an agent at gunpoint on Wednesday night. The vehicle was recovered a short distance away, but the suspects are still on the loose.

The FBI's Washington Field Office and the Metropolitan Police Department's Carjacking Task Force are looking for more information. The crime happened around 3:44 p.m. in the 100 block of 12th Street Southeast, near Lincoln Park. Investigators say the agent was carjacked by two unknown people as the agent was getting out of an FBI vehicle.

FBI investigators released images from surveillance video of the two suspects on Thursday. They ask anyone who may recognize the people to contact them.
