WASHINGTON — Pride month in D.C. is an iconic, colorful tradition unlike any other, and this year's celebrations are no exception. The Capital Pride Alliance hosts a marathon of events to uplift the LGBTQ+ community.

Friday, May 31:
- At MGM National Harbor from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Capital Pride Alliance will honor leaders, activists and outstanding individuals in the area who have advocated for the LGBTQ+ community.
- Tickets start at $49.
- All proceeds will benefit the Capital Pride Alliance and the Pride 365 Fund.
- The event's emcee is WUSA9's Lorenzo Hall.
Monday, June 3:
- Busboys and Poets in Brookland is hosting this evening of spoken word performances and open mic opportunities.
- Doors open at 7 p.m., and showtime is at 7:30 p.m.
- Tickets start at $20.
Wednesday, June 5:
- Mix and mingle at the Penthouse Pool and Lounge on 4th Street in Southeast D.C. from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Tickets start at $25 and include entry, poolside food and three drink tickets. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available.
- Attendees must be at least 21 years old.
Friday, June 7:
- Featuring performances from "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Sapphira Cristál and other area entertainers, the official opening party rages from 9 p.m. until 3:30 a.m. at Echostage.
- Tickets start at $37 online ahead of time or $50 at the door.
- This event is for ages 18 and up.
Saturday, June 8:
- Pre-game the parade at Viceroy Washington, D.C. with a bottomless brunch from noon to 3 p.m.
- Tickets are $70 for the brunch buffet and two drink tickets or $85 for the buffet and bottomless mimosas.
- Attendees must be at least 21 years old.
- Music, activities, food and family fun abound at the annual block party along 17th Street in the Dupont Circle neighborhood from noon to 10 p.m.
- DC Water will be there to refill water bottles and keep attendees hydrated.
- This year's parade will take a new route through the District, beginning at the intersection of 14th Street and T Street Northwest, marching down 14th Street and ending at 919 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest.
- The parade will start at 3 p.m. and is expected to end at 8 p.m.
- At the end of the parade route from around Constitution Avenue and 6th Street Northwest 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., attendees can expect a trip back in time to celebrate the '80s and '90s through music, dancing and retro glam.
- This pool party features a chance to cool off after the parade, light snacks and a cash bar from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Penthouse Pool and Lounge on 4th Street in Southeast D.C.
- Tickets to this event are sold out.
- The inaugural Capital Pride Roast is put on in conjunction with The Washington Blade and will comically celebrate Blair Michaels and Lena Lett, former Capital Pride Heroes.
- Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m.
- Tickets for entry are $10 for general admission or $15 at the door. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Capital Pride Alliance and Terrific, INC.
- The event is 21+.
Sunday, June 9:
- Over 300 exhibitors will dish out food, entertainment and advocacy in a full day of free fun on Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest.
- Exhibitors include service organizations, social groups, potential employers, faith-based groups, educational opportunities, consultants and more. Booths will be set up from noon to 7 p.m.
- This event is free to the public.
- Showcasing international and local LGBTQ+ talent across three stages on Pennsylvania Avenue, this concert is a great way to wrap up the weekend.
- Performers include singer Ava Max, Billy Porter and special guest Keke Palmer, among others.
- Entry is free, but there are VIP and special access tickets available.
