Bring out the queens and let's go to a Drag Brunch

To have a proper "Sunday Funday," it all begins with the vibes set at brunch.

WASHINGTON — Brunch is as big a part of the DMV’s culture as politics, mumbo sauce, and Go-Go music are. DMV natives have taken “Sunday Funday” and turned it into an entire mission.

What once was a simple brunch/outing with friends, followed by errands before starting the traditional work week, has now turned into a full-blown marathon. Starting off with brunch, followed by a day party, then a midday snack, another day party, and ending with an early dinner.

All are to be completed between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. so that the "adults" can be in bed by 9 p.m., ready and refreshed for work Monday morning. To have a proper "Sunday Funday," it all begins with the vibes set at brunch.

A good brunch has a live D.J., and an even better brunch has live performances. With Pride Month set to kick off in a few weeks, here's a list of drag brunches around the DMV sure to set the tone of your next "Sunday Funday."
