Do you recognize this car? DC Police search for Blue Hyundai connected to shooting

Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information.

WASHINGTON — DC Police are asking for the public's help to find a car wanted in connection to a shooting over the weekend that sent a person to the hospital on Saturday. Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the car to come forward.

On Saturday, Jan. 20, police were called to the 3400 block of 13th Street Southeast, near Malcolm X Elementary School for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene just before 1:30 p.m., they discovered a person had been shot. That person was taken to an area hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

Investigators learned that after the shooting, the shooter left in a blue Hyundai Tucson with DC tag JB9372. The car was captured on surveillance camera nearby. Police shared an image of the car, hoping someone recognizes it.

Those providing tips should reference case number 24009794, police said.
