WASHINGTON -- The Broccoli City Festival is back in D.C. And no, we're not talking about the green, iron-rich vegetable.

This weekend marks the seventh year the festival will be in the Metro area, and it's bringing some well-known artists with it.

Childish Gambino, Lil Wayne, 6LACK, Ella Mai and other Hip-Hop and R&B artists will be performing at the 2019 festival, taking place this weekend at FedExField.

Music, food, art, education and fitness are all elements of the festival's main theme: Creating sustainability communities.

Broccoli City is an organization committed to "educating, equipping and mobilizing millennials to build thriving urban communities that sustain future generations," the website said.

While the festival is hosting popular performers, it has a much bigger message than just the music.

The main focus? To promote economically and environmentally efficient communities.
