3 injured in crash on Rock Creek Parkway

The cause of the crash is still under investigation

WASHINGTON — Three people were injured, one critically, in a multivehicle crash on Rock Creek Parkway Saturday night, according to District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department.

One woman was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials say.

Both directions of traffic on Rock Creek Parkway are closed between P Street and Q Street, Northwest, according to DC Fire.

Southbound traffic is being turned around in the area of Waterside Drive, and northbound traffic is being diverted at P Street N.W.

The cause of the crash and how many vehicles were involved is still unknown.

Update:

While the investigation is still ongoing, authorities told WUSA9 Sunday the injuries of all three people taken to the hospital "are considered non-life-threatening."
