CLINTON, Md. — Five teens were arrested Wednesday afternoon after robbing a pharmacy retail store in Clinton, Md., at gunpoint and fleeing, Prince George's county police said.
The suspects are 19-year old David McKinney of NE, D.C., 18-year-old Corey Nelson of SE, D.C., 18-year-old Rodney Wood of Alexandria, Virginia and 17-year-old Keondre Reel of Northeast, D.C. The fifth suspect, a teenage girl, is charged as a juvenile.
The investigation reveals the group targeted a pharmacy retail store in the 8000 block of Branch Ave., Clinton, at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. Within minutes, patrol officers responded, located the car and followed pursuit.
A two-minute helicopter surveillance video caught the chase on camera.
The pursuit ended after the suspects crashed their car on the Georgia Avenue exit ramp to the Beltway in Montgomery County, Md.
No one was injured during the pursuit. All five suspects were apprehended and charged with robbery.
