Group beats up teen getting off school bus and steals his shoes in Woodbridge

At one point, the group reportedly stole the teen's shoes and tried to take his hoodie too.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police are searching for four people who beat up and robbed a teen of his shoes on Tuesday right after the victim had gotten off a school bus.

On Tuesday, police were called to Matthews and Burns Drive just after 3:30 p.m. to investigate the robbery. When officers arrived, a 14-year-old boy told officers he was getting off of the bus when four people walked up behind him.

The teen explained to police that the group pushed him to the ground and began beating him up. At one point, the group stole his shoes and tried to take his hoodie too. Eventually, the group left.

The teen did sustain minor injuries, according to police. It is unclear what kind of shoes or hoodie the group stole from the boy. Police have not released any descriptions of the suspects at this time.
