GERMANTOWN, Md. — Police are investigating after a woman was shot in Germantown Sunday night.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, the shooting happened in the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been shot. She was taken to an area hospital for help and is expected to survive.
Police have not yet released any information regarding suspect description at this time. There is no word on any possible motive or what may have happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
